MEDIA ALERT: Streamcore Webinar on Citrix Application Performance in WAN Environments to Take Place March 16, 2006; Streamcore to Host the First in a Series of Weekly Webinars
Business Wire, March 13, 2006
SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Streamcore:
WHAT:
Streamcore, a leader in application acceleration for wide area networks (WANs), will be hosting a webinar entitled, "Ensuring Citrix Application Performance in WAN Environments." The event will demonstrate how Streamcore's Intelligent Traffic Management solutions automatically detect and adapt to Citrix application behavior. The webinar, the first in a series of weekly webinars scheduled, will take place on Thursday, March 16, 2006 at 10:00am PT. For more information, visit Streamcore's site at http://www.streamcore.com.
Attendees will learn how to achieve effective application performance levels when deploying thin client solutions such as Citrix in WAN environments. The trend towards application and server centralization places new demands on the wide-area network (WAN) as a strategically important resource to connect Citrix users across the distributed enterprise.
With the recent release of StreamOptimizer 4.1, Streamcore introduced the Application Behavior Based Acceleration (ABBA) engine, a technology that provides intelligent application acceleration by adapting to actual application behavior in real-time. The ABBA engine enables enterprises to automatically accelerate interactive data streams, such as data entry in Citrix, TSE -- Windows Terminal Server Edition, or Telnet sessions, making application performance faster and consistent for each individual user.
All Streamcore solutions feature the company's innovative approach to WAN optimization. They manage WAN traffic according to user behavior (e.g. interaction, transaction, download, voice/video) and the specific application to accelerate applications and guarantee bandwidth equality for each user. This differs greatly from traditional methods and results in a significant acceleration of applications without interference with the TCP/IP protocol. Tests have shown that Streamcore's solutions improve response times in interactive data entry by an average of 82%.
