AIM Global Taps Industry Leader Jim Childress of LXE; Association Elects New Chairman of Board of Directors

WARRENDALE, Pa. -- AIM Global, the trade association recognized as the worldwide authority on automatic identification and mobility, today announced the election of James S. Childress, president and general manager of LXE Inc., as the new chairman of the board of directors. Mr. Childress succeeds Tom Miller of Intermec, Inc.
As chairman, Childress and the AIM Global board of directors will provide the Association with the leadership, guidance, and direction to successfully fulfill its mission of:
--Educating by providing timely, unbiased and commercial-free news and information to its members, the news media, policy makers, and current and potential customers of automatic identification and mobility technologies;
--Advocating on behalf of its members on policy matters and standards affecting the automatic identification and mobility industry; and
--Accelerating the adoption and use of data capture and mobility technology.
