NeoPhotonics and Azzurri Technology Announce European Channel Distribution Agreement; Action will facilitate introduction of advanced ''integrated optical chip'' technology to OEMs of FTTP, metro and long-haul network equipment

SAN JOSE, Calif. & WOKINGHAM, United Kingdom -- NeoPhotonics (OFC/NFOEC booth 1413) and Azzurri Technology Group, a leading provider of specialist solutions and design support services to high technology OEMs, announced today a reseller agreement for optical components, featuring advanced planar lightwave circuit (PLC) and other designs, for FTTP, metro and long-haul equipment.

The products covered by the reseller agreement, which makes Azzurri the leading reseller of high performance PLC-based components in Europe, include arrayed waveguide gratings, variable optical attenuator/multiplexers, power splitters and couplers, video combiners and a range of transceivers including integrated PLC designs. All of these products are designed to reduce certain operational and capital costs for FTTP, metro and long haul network operators.

Azzurri Technology is a well-established company with eight years of experience servicing the telecommunications industry.
