Lions Hearing Center Expands to Eleven Michigan Locations

DETROIT -- The Lions Hearing Center of Michigan, which provides testing and hearing aids to individuals who are unable to obtain services due to financial restrictions, announced that it expanded from two locations to eleven throughout the State.

Qualifying individuals can now receive services in the following communities:

Alpena
Bay City
Bloomfield Hills
Detroit
East Lansing
Monroe
Mt. Pleasant
Muskegon
Plymouth
Southfield
Wyoming

"Through the generous support of Lions Clubs throughout Michigan, Wayne State University, the Detroit Medical Center, private foundations, donors and physicians, the Lions Hearing Center was able to greatly expand the reach of our program," said Robert Mathog, M.D., chairman, Lions Hearing Center of Michigan.

The Lion's Hearing Center of Michigan is a cooperative venture between area Lions Clubs, the Detroit Medical Center and Wayne State University. In addition to hearing aid support, it provides educational and social services to assist persons with hearing impairments and to research cures and prevention of hearing disorders.
