ConSentry Networks and Nissho Electronics Partner to Deliver LAN Security Solutions to the Japanese Marketplace
Business Wire, March 20, 2006
MILPITAS, Calif. -- ConSentry Networks, a leading provider of secure LAN solutions, and Nissho Electronics Corporation, a leading provider of advanced technology solutions in the Japanese marketplace, today announced a distribution partnership in which Nissho will launch ConSentry's Secure LAN Controller(TM) into the Japanese market.
"We are very pleased to have Nissho Electronics as a strategic partner in Japan," said Dean Hickman-Smith, vice president of worldwide sales for ConSentry. "Nissho's experience and breadth in selling security solutions to the Japanese enterprise market will play a key role in our success," he added.
"Our customers face increasing regulatory pressure to safeguard their data assets and implement access control," reports Takashi Fukuda, senior executive managing officer of Nissho Electronics. "ConSentry's Secure LAN Controller will help us satisfy this need and increasing demand for a cost-effective and simple network admission control solution."
As one of Japan's leading distributors of security solutions, Nissho has successfully helped companies such as Symantec, Ciena, Packeteer, and Network Appliance penetrate the Japanese marketplace. Nissho's six-year relationship with Juniper Networks has proven to be their most successful partnership to date.
The ConSentry Secure LAN Controller is the first inline network appliance purpose-built with the power to deliver LAN security at LAN speeds. The Secure LAN Controller provides Network Admission Control (NAC) plus layer 7 visibility, user access control (user/role-based provisioning) and threat control (zero-tuning malware detection/containment) in a single platform that is deployed transparently without upgrading the existing switching infrastructure.
