Business Wire, March 22, 2006

FAIRFAX, Va. -- Emprisa Networks(TM), a leading provider of smart network change, compliance and configuration management solutions, today announced that E-NetAware(TM) has been validated with BMC(R) Remedy(R) Action Request System(R) (AR System(R)) Server. The integrated solution delivers a powerful set of network change and configuration management capabilities for BMC Software customers who want to audit and automate network change and benefit from a fully integrated change workflow process.

Today's technology solutions must automate processes and improve visibility across the IT infrastructure. By integrating E-NetAware with BMC AR System Server, customers can leverage network change, compliance and configuration information to proactively address business critical issues such as compliance, network security and service delivery. In addition, the integrated solution augments a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) with detailed network change history and provides independent proof that configuration changes are authorized and performed as expected. With E-NetAware organizations have a single tool that simplifies release and change management, audits and enforces network compliance, automates OS image updates and change workflow processes, proactively assesses the impact of change and enables quick recovery from service impacting changes.

"Augmenting BMC AR Server with E-NetAware's network change, compliance and configuration data closes another gap in network management allowing organizations to fully document and trace the change workflow process from start to finish. By integrating NCCM and Business Service Management (BSM) solutions customers now have access to critical configuration data allowing them to reduce costs, improve efficiency and more effectively adapt to changes in their IT environment," stated Sherrie L. Woodring, president & CEO, Emprisa Networks. "Emprisa is pleased to achieve validation from BMC, and offer customers an integrated solution that expands the view of the IT infrastructure to include network change."

"Aligning E-NetAware's network change and configuration data with BMC Atrium CMDB and BSM processes enables customers to strengthen and enhance business initiatives around change and configuration management, asset and discovery management, security, compliance and service management," stated Bill Ridlehuber, director of corporate business development at BMC. "With the integrated solution customers can better understand the effect of configuration changes, improving business service delivery by reducing risk and outages resulting from such changes."
