MedsiteCME Announces New Continuing Medical Education Features; Resource Centers, Roundtables, Monographs, and Teleconferencing Significantly Enhance Online CME Content
Business Wire, March 23, 2006
NEW YORK -- MedsiteCME, a leader in online continuing medical education programs, today announced it is broadening its suite of services to include educational Resource Centers, key opinion leader Roundtables, Monographs, and Teleconferencing. The new products will enable MedsiteCME to expand its leadership role as the most convenient and relevant online CME resource.
The added features are designed to increase the value of MedsiteCME's existing online content while providing several new methods to reach target physicians.
"MedsiteCME is offering these programs to physicians and other healthcare professionals to address the ongoing pressure on their time," said Destry Sulkes, M.D., Managing Director of MedsiteCME. "By providing information in formats providers can select as needed, we have reduced the time it takes to find key clinical information that may enhance patient health."
The new Resource Centers provide physicians with everything they need to know on a given disease, from eNewsletters to Current News Feeds to Treatment Guidelines to Conference Calendars to Interactive CME Cases to an "Ask the Faculty" tool where experts can address common questions written in by participants.
The addition of expert Roundtables with supporting Monographs provide another source of medical information. The first Roundtable was held in Dallas, and the corresponding monograph on Cox-2 Inhibitors and Cardiovascular Risk was published in the American Journal of Cardiology, Vol 96, Number 11, p. 1589-1604, available at www.ajconline.com.
Teleconferencing allows physicians to dial in or go online to hear a recognized expert or colleague address important information on clinical issues in a CME environment.
