Business Wire, March 27, 2006
MCLEAN, Va. -- Alion Science and Technology was awarded a $2.8 million cost plus, fixed fee contract from the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division - Philadelphia (NSWCCD - Philadelphia) for the detailed design and fabrication of a second generation, high capacity, high purity water purification unit in support of the Office of Naval Research Expeditionary Unit Water Purification (EUWP) program.
Under the contract, Alion will act as the program manager for detailed design and fabrication of an advanced, high capacity, high purity water purification technology demonstrator scheduled for seawater desalination testing at Port Hueneme, CA in June 2007.
