Who is the Pro to Know at Avnet?

Business Wire, March 27, 2006

PHOENIX -- Avnet (NYSE: AVT) knows it, and now the industry knows it too. Greg Frazier, executive vice president of supply chain services worldwide for Avnet Electronics Marketing, was recently named a 2006 Practitioner Pro to Know by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine. Frazier was selected for this honor based upon his skillful leadership in the tech industry supply chain, and in recognition of his vision for the future of supply chain optimization.

The Supply & Demand Chain Executive Practitioner Pros to Know is an annual listing of supply/demand chain management professionals in a manufacturing or nonmanufacturing enterprise. The list includes outstanding professionals in the field that have excelled in their commitment to improving the use of supply- and demand-chain technology and practices within a brick-and-mortar company. These individuals have broad and deep knowledge about the industry and are forward-thinking in their approach to the evolving supply- and demand-chain network.

"Greg Frazier is truly a 'Pro to Know,'" said Harley Feldberg, president of Avnet Electronics Marketing. "He has always demonstrated strong leadership and expertise in the supply-chain field, and we have long considered him a pioneer in the industry. We are pleased Greg has received such a noteworthy recognition for his efforts."

Frazier joined the Avnet team in 1977 and currently serves as a member of the Avnet Electronics Marketing global executive team. Frazier is in charge of designing supply-chain strategies for Avnet's global suppliers and customers, discovering and implementing new business models, and assisting customers in migrating their supply chains globally.

Prior to his current role, Frazier served as vice president and then president of Avnet IMS (Integrated Material Services), the business unit he established. In recognition of his pioneering efforts in value-added services and his position as an industry expert, he was listed among Electronic Buyers' News' Hot 25 Executives for 1998. He previously created the Avnet's Strategic Account Organization, which focuses on the distribution needs of the Fortune 500's top 50 electronics companies. The success of that organization led to the formation of Avnet's Value-Added Services Organization, the precursor to IMS.
