Business Wire, March 7, 2006
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Centric Software, the leading provider of Product Intelligence solutions for the extended enterprise, announced today that Artsana, a global supplier of children's apparel, toys and family care products, based in Como, Italy, has successfully completed a pilot program utilizing Centric's Collection Management solution. Due to the success of the pilot, Artsana has placed an order through AEC s.r.l. Consulting, Centric's partner and reseller in Italy, to deploy Centric's solutions across all worldwide operations and brands.
The fashion business units at Artsana will use Centric's Collection Management solution to manage the execution of the planning, development and preproduction sourcing stages for each seasonal fashion collection. The consumer products business units at Artsana will manage the execution of the planning, development and testing stages for new product development. The solution will enable improved collaboration between European operations and business partners in the Far East.
"Artsana delivered more than 10,000 new products over the last five years and needs to ensure the timely and profitable release of new products," said Mr. Michele Catelli, Artsana president and general manager. "Now, we will have more visibility into our operations and will benefit from repeatable business processes to increase our competitiveness. Throughout the pilot project, the Centric team consistently delivered excellent customer service, convincing us that the company understands our business problems and truly cares about our success."
"As the Artsana pilot demonstrates, Centric's Collection Management solution can meet the demanding schedules and time pressure of apparel manufacturers and other consumer goods industries," said Chris Groves, chief executive officer of Centric Software. "Apparel and consumer goods companies like Artsana can readily achieve success because Centric's Collection Management uses live data to deliver multi-level visibility into critical issues and coordinate execution, without disrupting on-going business cycles."
Centric's Collection Management solution provides apparel and other consumer goods manufacturers with the ability to manage and deliver thousands of items on tight calendar deadlines repeated throughout the year. In real-time, the web-based solution aggregates and rolls-up key performance indicators about thousand of items, continually providing status tracking and current performance measurements for each individual item as well as product lines and roll-ups of entire collections. The distributed project teams in the consumer products business unit use a secure web-based workspace to share information, coordinate activities, work collaboratively and bring more winning new products to market, faster, with fewer mistakes and improved accountability.
"We evaluated a number of apparel industry solutions, and selected Centric's Collection Management because the solution was rapidly deployed and addressed our specific business concerns as well as being readily accepted by the end user community," said Mr. Fabrizio Oliveri, Artsana's information technology and logistics director.
