Analogic Corporation Appoints Sorin Marcovici Corporate Senior Technical Vice President

PEABODY, Mass. -- John Wood, President and CEO of Analogic Corporation (NASDAQ: ALOG), announced today that Sorin Marcovici has been named Corporate Senior Technical Vice President of Analogic. In this newly created position, Mr. Marcovici will lead the planning and implementation of corporate-wide efforts to enhance engineering productivity in health and security technology. Mr. Marcovici, who has been with Analogic since 1976, recently served as President of Anrad, an Analogic subsidiary that has pioneered the development of innovative flat-panel detectors for Direct Digital Radiography (DDR).
"Sorin will be responsible for maximizing our engineering productivity," said Wood. "He will ensure that each of our many engineering projects is well defined and aligned with the Company's strategic goals, and that all technical resources are allocated as efficiently as possible to achieve those goals."
