Business Wire, May 11, 2006
DRIPPING SPRINGS, Texas -- L2 Consulting Services, Inc. (L2) is pleased to announce that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has granted Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) status to L2 for their Honeywell Runway Awareness Advisory System (RAAS) installation kit, based on L2's FAA STC ST10466SC. The PMA covers all models of the Boeing 767 commercial aircraft. The FAA has determined that the fabrication inspection system established by L2 meets the specifications as required by Part 21 of the Federal Aviation Regulations and therefore, granted approval for manufacture of the RAAS installation kit.
"This certification is a major step toward our efforts to expand our service to the airline industry," said Mark Lebovitz, L2's President. "L2 has a long history of installing commercial aircraft electronics and this certification enables us to expand our presence into aviation manufacturing."
In the past, L2 has teamed with various business partners with existing PMA. The company intends on growing its own PMA facility in addition to still working with business partners.
