Parvus Corp. Joins Microsoft Windows Embedded Partner Program; Membership Will Facilitate Rapid Systems Development, Reduced Time to Market for Customers Using Windows XP Embedded and Windows CE Platforms
Business Wire, May 11, 2006
SALT LAKE CITY -- Parvus Corp. collaborated with Microsoft as a member of its Windows Embedded Partner (WEP) Program, a strategic worldwide initiative that provides partners with increased business opportunities, market awareness and technology advantages.
"Time to market is a critical issue for our customers and developing drivers for embedded hardware inevitably slows down system development," said Clark Roundy, vice president of sales and marketing for Parvus Corp. "Working with Microsoft demonstrates our commitment to our customers to help shorten product development cycles with pre-engineered drivers that support two of the most widely used operating systems available today."
Device drivers and Board Support Packages (BSPs) for Windows XP Embedded and Windows CE operating systems are now available for most of Parvus' PC/104 single board computers and I/O cards. Parvus' board-level products serve as the technology building blocks for its rugged processor and display system lines, including the new DuraCOR 1100 and 810 vehicle computers, as well as the DuraVIS multi-function avionics displays. Parvus intends to continue actively developing drivers to support Windows Embedded products.
"Microsoft is dedicated to building and maintaining valuable relationships with industry partners, providing better solutions for consumers," said Jane Gilson, director, Mobile & Embedded Devices Division, Microsoft Corp. "We welcome Parvus as a Windows Embedded partner and look forward to extending its offerings to the entire Windows Embedded community."
