TriNet Doubles National PPO Network By Adding Blue Shield in California, Aetna Nationwide; HR Outsourcing Firm Offers Unprecedented Flexibility and Choice in Benefit Packages Provided to Over 1,000 Customers Throughout the United States
Business Wire, May 11, 2006
SAN LEANDRO, Calif. -- TriNet, a nationwide provider of human resource (HR) outsourcing services for small and mid-sized companies, today announced new partnerships that enable the company to offer side-by-side Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) networks for its customers. California customers now receive a pre-negotiated benefits package bolstered by a choice of two PPO networks, Blue Shield and Aetna, while most non-California customers receive Aetna alongside Health Net's First Health network. These PPO plans are supplemented in most regions around the country with a variety of HMO options.
The addition of Blue Shield and Aetna to its already robust range of healthcare plans enables TriNet to become the first HR provider serving small, highly compensated workforces to offer side-by-side PPO networks nationwide. Because TriNet focuses solely on the industries of technology, financial services, and professional services, its customers expect a substantial degree of choice, flexibility, and customization in regards to their benefits plans. A menu of industry-acclaimed PPO networks in each state allows TriNet to meet and surpass those expectations.
"TriNet is proud to set the standard in small business HR outsourcing through the deployment of the rich PPO networks offered by our partners Blue Shield, Aetna, and Health Net," said Greg Hammond, TriNet's Executive Vice President and General Counsel. "Our customers tend to employ people who expect to receive premium benefits packages -- even if they're not working for a large, established company. TriNet gives our customers a competitive edge in the talent marketplace by ensuring that their employees have access to 'big company' benefits and therefore a strategic way to attract and retain top performers."
In the mid-Atlantic states of Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia, the Aetna network is offered in tandem with a Kaiser Point of Service Plan.
