Business Wire, May 11, 2006
SAN DIEGO & CHICAGO -- Holocom Networks and Anixter will announce its new partnership to provide end-to-end classified network solutions for government and private users worldwide at the Installation Information Infrastructure Modernization Program (I3MP) Conference, May 16-18, 2006 in Miami. The I3MP program is a collection of efforts to modernize IT infrastructure at U.S. Army installations on a global scale.
Holocom Networks is the leading manufacturer of Protected Distribution Systems (PDS) solutions in the Department of Defense and homeland security markets. Anixter Inc. is the world's leading distributor of communication products, electrical and electronic wire & cable and a leading distributor of fasteners and other small parts ("C" Class inventory components) to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
"The partnership between Holocom and Anixter will provide the necessary and complete technical expertise for PDS installations from start to finish," said G. Bradford Saunders, President and COO of Holocom Networks. "Together, with our PDS product and Anixter's national and international logistics support, we can provide cost effective and timely worldwide classified solutions."
Holocom PDS is a modular raceway system that encloses and protects secure network connections and cables, creating seamless distribution pathways for classified information. The patented system is currently the only complete end-to-end PDS solution engineered to meet stringent governmental guidelines and provide the framework for network centric-based operations.
"We encourage I3MP conference attendees to find out how the Holocom PDS can replace the costly and maintenance-intensive conduit systems," said Seth Finkel, Vice-President of Federal Channel Sales for Anixter. "With our company's expansive global distribution network, coupled with our technical expertise, the Holocom/Anixter partnership is a value-added solution supporting the Army."
