Business Wire, May 16, 2006
ATLANTA -- Lucas Group, an executive search firm, co-hosted its sixth Executive Diversity Career Fair April 19, 2006, at the Embassy Suites in Chicago with The Wall Street Journal's CareerJournal.com.
The Executive Diversity Career Fair is the only executive-level diversity career fair in the nation. Some of the participating companies included Ernst & Young, Aon, Alzheimer's Association, Fitch Ratings, UBS, Boeing, ConAgra, Owens Corning, Crowe Chizek, Walgreen's, General Electric, AC Nielsen, Harris Bank and Zurich North America. Participating companies met with interested candidates in private suites to discuss job opportunities. Disciplines included finance/banking, sales, consulting, healthcare, non-profit, law, IT and more.
"The Executive Diversity Fair is unlike most career fairs in the nation because it helps diversity candidates and women," said Art Lucas, president and CEO of Lucas Group. "Our goal is to provide an avenue in which qualified diverse talent can meet in a comfortable atmosphere with hiring managers from companies around the nation. The positive results and relationships that come from this event are a testament to the diversity needs in the marketplace."
"We get great satisfaction from our ability to introduce highly qualified diversity candidates to employers who are eager to meet them," said Gail Griffin, general manager, CareerJournal.com. "As more companies realize that hiring a diverse executive team gives them a competitive advantage, they turn to CareerJournal.com as the best source for identifying and recruiting those candidates."
The next Executive Diversity Career Fair will be held Oct. 12, 2006, at the Embassy Suites in New York City.
