Top Hasbro Brands Nominated for Five 2006 International Licensing Excellence Awards; MY LITTLE PONY Brand Receives Three Nominations; Shares Spotlight with MR. POTATO HEAD and CANDY LAND

PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- Hasbro Properties Group, the intellectual property development arm of Hasbro, Inc. (NYSE: HAS), announced that it has received five nominations for this year's Licensing International Excellence Awards sponsored by the International Licensing Merchandisers' Association (LIMA). Top Hasbro toy and game brands including MY LITTLE PONY, MR. POTATO HEAD and CANDY LAND are contenders in the following categories: "Best Corporate Brand License of the Year", "Best Character Brand License of the Year", and "Promotion of the Year."
"It is an enormous honor to be nominated for five prestigious LIMA awards this year," said Bryony Bouyer, senior vice president of the Americas for the Hasbro Properties Group. "We're thrilled that the industry has taken notice of the innovative licensing initiatives we've put behind some of our key brands."
MY LITTLE PONY has been nominated for three prestigious awards including the children's book series by HarperCollins for "Best Corporate Brand: Hard Goods"; A VERY MINTY CHRISTMAS movie by Paramount Home Video for "Best Character Brand: Hard Goods"; and the McDonald's Happy Meal promotion for "Promotion of the Year."
MR. POTATO HEAD and CANDY LAND also join MY LITTLE PONY as contenders for "Promotion of the Year" award. The well-known MR. POTATO HEAD character has received recognition for his role with The United States Potato Board as Healthy MR. POTATO HEAD, a "spokespud" to promote the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. This campaign recently received a Gold SABRE award from Inside PR Magazine. CANDY LAND has been spotlighted for Kidtoon Film's success in the family theatrical release of CANDY LAND: THE GREAT LOLLIPOP ADVENTURE in more than 100 theaters in 30 markets across the country.
The LIMA awards honor the worldwide leaders in creativity and achievement in the licensing industry. The winners will be announced at the Annual LIMA Gala and Awards Ceremony to be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York. The awards are part of Licensing 2006 International, the industry's annual trade show. The Hasbro Properties Group will showcase its top licensed properties in Booth #3417 at the show, which runs from June 20-22, 2006, at the Javits Convention Center.
