WebMessenger Announces New Reseller Agreement with X1® Technologies; WebMessenger Partners with X1 to Deliver Enterprise Search for BlackBerry
Business Wire, May 16, 2006
ORLANDO, Fla. -- WebMessenger, provider of mobile instant-messaging products for enterprises and consumers, today announced a new reseller agreement with X1 Technologies, a recognized leader in enterprise desktop search solutions.
Under the terms of the partnership, WebMessenger will provide X1 Technologies with its WebMessenger Mobile Search Client to work with the X1 Enterprise Client and X1 Enterprise Server. When connected directly to the X1 Enterprise Client, WebMessenger Mobile Search enables authorized users to search X1 indexed content including email, contacts, calendar and documents residing on their desktop as well as information indexed on corporate servers, from a BlackBerry(R) device from Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM). Users will also have the option to go directly to the X1 Enterprise Server and access content on the X1 server or within third-party applications using content connectors such as the X1 Exchange Content Connector.
X1 Technologies will resell the WebMessenger Mobile Search Client through its resale channels. Furthermore, WebMessenger will distribute the X1 Enterprise Client with its WebMessenger Mobile Search Client as a free bundle to users with their own BlackBerry Enterprise Server(TM) and as a paid service to those users who do not have their own BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
"We are pleased to extend our relationship with WebMessenger," said X1 Technologies president, Josh Jacobs. "BlackBerry users now have an additional way to access relevant content residing in the enterprise in a secure manner. We are delivering a unique solution for the mobile user to search content on their corporate servers as well as additional content residing on the Exchange Server, from their BlackBerry device."
"X1 is a valued partner of WebMessenger and this resale agreement helps further our commitment to provide flexible, comprehensive mobile data and messaging solutions for businesses and consumers," said WebMessenger CEO, Val Babajov.
