Former Villanova Quarterback & W. B. Mason Philadelphia Branch Manager Tom Colombo to Throw Out Ceremonial First Pitch At Citizens Bank Park Saturday, May 20th

PHILADELPHIA -- Former Villanova University star quarterback Tom Colombo, the Branch Manager for W. B. Mason in Philadelphia, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch this Saturday, May 20th when the Philadelphia Phillies host the Boston Red Sox at Citizens Bank Park.

Colombo will be on hand as all children 14 years old and under attending Saturday night's baseball game will receive a free "W. B. Mason Delivery Truck." This 5 1/2" die-cast plastic delivery truck features the W. B. Mason logo on the sides and the Phillies logo on the top.

W. B. Mason is the largest privately held office products dealer in the United States, and has been the "Official Office Supplier for the Phillies" since 2004. The company was founded in Brockton, Massachusetts in 1989.

Colombo, a native of Brockton, has strong ties to Philadelphia dating back to his college career. He was a three-year starter at quarterback for Villanova University's football squad from 1990 through 1992. At only 5' 5" tall, Colombo was the smallest starting quarterback in the country during his senior year, but also one of the winningest. The nephew of late heavyweight boxing champion Rocky Marciano, Colombo played in 32 games, completed 489 of 830 passes for 5,825 yards and 41 touchdowns. He finished his career on the Main Line as the second all-time leading passer for the Wildcats.

Following his graduation from Villanova, Colombo worked as an assistant college football coach for six years before he joined the team at W. B. Mason in 2000, working out of their Boston branch. He has directed the Philadelphia operations for the company since late 2003.
