Blumberg comes to I-many from Accenture - the $16 billion global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company - where he was a managing partner. During his 15 years at Accenture, Blumberg rose from consultant to a number of senior management positions, where he served as the lead partner for the pharmaceutical and medical products practice, global account manager for one of Accenture's "Diamond" pharmaceutical accounts, and oversaw Accenture's global pharmaceutical and medical products CRM business. "David's extensive experience and high level responsibility across a broad base of industries, on both the sell-side and buy-side of contracting, brings important experience, capability, and insight to I-many," notes John A. Rade, chairman and interim president & CEO of I-many. "As we expand our footprint and grow aggressively in the burgeoning Enterprise Contract Lifecycle Management space, the addition of David to our executive management team will help us both scale and deliver the high quality services our customers require. We look forward to realizing his valuable contribution to I-many in the months and years to come."
Added Rade, "Recognizing that the Life Sciences and Healthcare segment of our business is an important platform for growth, we want to provide additional focus and direction to our initiatives and strategies in this area. To address this, David will have an additional role as lead for the Healthcare and Life Sciences market. He will work closely with our sales and marketing, and product management and development organizations, providing marketing input, product direction, and go-to market strategies."
Commented Blumberg, "I-many boasts a great tradition of providing the best-of-class solutions and services, and I'm committed to carrying this forward. It also presents a tremendous growth story, with this year emerging as a positive turning point with the rolling out of new and updated applications based on the new ECMF platform. As we expand I-many's product line and market reach, our overriding objective will be to service our clients seamlessly and effectively, while increasing the quality of the services we provide. This effort will be especially important as we further develop our relationships in the Healthcare and Life Sciences industries."
