Network Intelligence Certifies enVision for NetApp® SnapLock®; Enterprises collecting their data through Network Intelligence appliances now have optimized storage and data protection in NetApp Storage Environments
Business Wire, May 18, 2006
WESTWOOD, Mass. -- Network Intelligence(TM) Corp., the market-proven leader in transforming enterprise-wide data into automated compliance and security information, today announced that its enVision(TM) software has been certified for NetApp SnapLock Compliance and SnapLock Enterprise software solutions.
NetApp SnapLock assists companies in complying with regulatory and best-practices records-retention requirements by allowing the creation of nonrewritable, nonerasable write-once-read-many (WORM) volumes on NetApp storage systems. This prevents critical files from being altered or deleted until a specified retention date. Because compliance data is written to disk-based nearline and primary NetApp storage, data can be accessed immediately to help meet regulatory or legal discovery requirements.
enVision provides the software foundation for Network Intelligence's appliance-based security and information event management (SIEM) solution for monitoring data created by network devices and applications and alerting users to potential compliance and security issues.
"NetApp is focused on working with customers to certify, tightly integrate, and optimize partner solutions with NetApp storage, such as enVision certification with NetApp SnapLock software," said Patrick Rogers, vice president of products and partners at Network Appliance. "This certification provides customers with a leading SIEM solution for gathering and analyzing data that can be locked down with scalable and flexible NetApp WORM storage solutions, providing unmatched simplicity and management related to compliance needs."
"Today's compliance requirements demand that our customers store the extensive data they collect with the Network Intelligence appliance for data integrity as well as easy accessibility," said Keith Bartlett, vice president of business development, Network Intelligence. "With this certification, Network Intelligence is extending our SIEM product into NetApp SnapLock environments to provide customers with peace of mind that both the collection and analytical stages of data, as well as the storage of that data, are satisfying compliance regulations."
Since Network Intelligence introduced its SIEM product to the market, thousands of security engineers and network administrators at more than 700 enterprises worldwide have realized a higher level of security awareness and understanding. With the most comprehensive, easy-to-use, cost-effective solution on the market, Network Intelligence boasts the ability to capture, analyze and manage raw security-related data in real time and transform it into actionable business intelligence.
