Latin America is poised to play a leading role in global supply chain networks and help support the world's energy and resource needs for the 21st century. As one of the world's most important emerging markets, Latin America benefits from low labor costs and abundant natural resources. However, to be globally competitive, Latin American companies must surpass their competition by deploying state of the art technology like Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), RFID and Mobile Applications.
The new alliance will deliver Latin American firms the expertise and support they need to drive their business forward and to extend their supply chains globally. "We're sending a strong signal to SAP's partners, developers and integrators by opening up our technology platform," said SAP Executive Board Member Shai Agassi. "By building a new generation of innovative applications on top of our platform, our partners can now bring more value than ever to their customers."
Globalization, outsourcing and shrinking cycle times are adding risk, cost and complexity to transportation operations. Under the new alliance, SAP and Neoris will help Latin American businesses address these challenges with innovative new software solutions, consulting capabilities and end-to-end support.
"SAP and Neoris are committed to helping companies achieve an end-to-end, process-centric perspective for greater financial and operational success," said Adrian Gonzalez, Director, Logistic Executive Council, ARC Advisory Group. "With better transportation management, companies can gain competitive advantages in key areas of their business, from order management, purchasing and warehouse management to customer service and financials."
The close relationship between the two partners is based on a strong, mutual commitment to excellence in business solutions and customer service. "SAP and Neoris enjoy an excellent partnership," said Jose Duarte, Regional Managing Director of SAP Latin America. "We've had the privilege of serving many customers together throughout the region, including CEMEX. SAP has selected Neoris as a preferred partner in this joint initiative because it has a proven track record working with transportation and logistics companies such as Ryder Systems and implementing mySAP Business Suite, understanding ESA's important implications for industry processes."
"Neoris is energized by the growing market in Latin America for SAP products, doubling our SAP business in the last 12 months. We look forward to strengthening our ties with SAP as the preferred integration provider in the region," said Neoris CEO Claudio Muruzabal. "We have already started an aggressive joint program with SAP to increase our delivery teams across the region. Joining SAP's Center Of Excellence for Supply Chain will deliver even better support to our common client base."
Latin American customers can contact SAP and Neoris for consultation and a full range of supply chain execution solutions.
