Network Physics Demonstrates New NetSensory Solution Insights™ for Enterprise Network and Application Management; New NetSensory Insights Provide Point-and-Click Drill-Down to the Source of Problems Affecting Critical Enterprise Applications
Business Wire, May 2, 2006
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Network Physics, the application performance insight leader, today announced the release of new NetSensory Solution Insights and technology previews for complementary network management solutions and major enterprise applications. By combining user or server-specific data from other products with the extensive application performance data available from the NetSensory appliance, the new Insights give network managers and their IT team greater visibility into enterprise application performance and quicker resolution of problems.
NetSensory Insights are point-and-click action guides that incorporate problem-solving best practices extracted from hundreds of customer cases in a wide swath of industries, including banking/financial, insurance, healthcare/hospital, legal, education and entertainment/media. They enable IT staff to quickly solve application performance problems by drilling down from a high-level business view to network and application details with a few clicks of the mouse.
A new Solution Insight for Evidant Corporation's EvidantSQM Server will enable customers to combine the precise view of user experience offered by synthetic agents with the deep diagnostic capabilities of the NetSensory appliance. And technology previews of NetSensory data integration capabilities demonstrate the ability to integrate NetSensory application performance metrics with server performance and status data from solutions based on Citrix MetaFrame XP Presentation Server, Microsoft Windows Server (e.g., Small Business Server, Sharepoint, Exchange and Internet Information Server), and Oracle RAC 10g. Insights based on this capability will give IT staff the ability to identify the exact cause of server-side problems detected by the NetSensory appliance.
"Bringing together real user experience metrics with deep traffic analysis allows companies to more efficiently pinpoint, troubleshoot and resolve IT performance issues directly affecting users," said Scott Leslie, president of Evidant Corporation. "The two companies have been working together closely to develop the right way to link Evidant and Network Physics' metrics and bring new value to IT executives and operations managers."
"NetSensory has already become an invaluable tool for resellers and enterprises," said Scott Safe, vice president of marketing at Network Physics. "Resellers have been able to identify the need for other products in their customer networks, as well as helping their customers get the best performance from those products. These new Insights and previews are designed to give them tools optimized for specific, market-leading products. For instance, the new Solution Insight for EvidantSQM enables customers to move effortlessly between a precise description of an application performance problem from the user's point of view and the deep drill-down diagnostics of NetSensory -- they can see what's wrong and discover the cause with a few clicks of the mouse. And, the new data integration technology we're previewing makes it possible to ensure that Citrix Metaframe XP solutions are properly optimized for a customer's WAN -- not only upon installation, but as the network changes. These are just the first in a series of Insights designed to put our reseller community at the forefront of these markets."
NetSensory Insights are available as part of the company's award-winning family of NetSensory(TM) application performance management solutions. These include the NP-2000 NetSensory Professional, for medium-sized organization; the NP-2000 NetSensory Enterprise, designed for the data centers and major offices of large enterprises, and the NP-Director, which delivers a global perspective of performance problems across global distributed networks from up to 20 Enterprise appliances. Over 20 Insights are included with these NetSensory appliances, enabling users to solve a wide range of network and application performance problems with just a few mouse clicks. NetSensory Insights quickly and easily walk IT through the audit, baseline, troubleshoot, secure and optimize steps that are necessary to ensure that applications are running at their peak performance.
The NetSensory Solution Insight for EvidantSQM will be available in May 2006 from Network Physics' certified channel partners. Insights for Citrix, Microsoft, Oracle and Crannog Software will be available in the second half of 2006. The Insight templates and technology previews are furnished to resellers at no cost. The price of finished Insights as delivered to customers are determined by individual resellers, and can be delivered on a subscription basis using a NetSensory Update Center on the reseller website.
