Business Wire, May 2, 2006

MCLEAN, Va. -- BAE Systems will support U.S.-based requirements for networks and information assurance services to approximately 30,000 of its employees through its IT services unit, BAE Systems Information Technology, effective May 1. Additionally, BAE Systems Information Technology will provide a full range of IT services to its 14,000-employee Customer Solutions group this year. In 2007, BAE Systems Information Technology is scheduled to provide IT services to an additional 5,000 employees in the U.S.

"Consolidation of these services under a central operations model will allow us to take advantage of significant economies of scale not possible today - this is a win-win solution for our company," said Marshall Banker, president, BAE Systems Customer Solutions. "We are looking forward to providing BAE Systems with the quality and consistency of service we have been successful in providing to our external customers."

The in-sourcing initiative will provide centralized, high quality, cost effective IT services that adhere to the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework for BAE Systems in the U.S. The effort will also build on IT capabilities while pursuing new business opportunities within the Federal IT market. The company has developed a world class ITIL based IT service delivery management model, constructed a new Network Operations and Security Center employing the latest in proactive network and security management tools, and expanded enterprise application support capability to serve both BAE Systems' in-house and federal Government customers.

BAE Systems Information Technology is a full-service solutions provider of information systems and services and offers a broad spectrum of network and managed IT operations to provide secure, reliable information systems supporting its customer's mission-critical needs.
