>Tele-Vision Awards Recognize Government Telework Excellence
Stan Kaczmarczyk, Acting Deputy Associate Administrator of Office of Governmentwide Policy, General Services Administration, will host the Telework Exchange Tele-Vision Awards reception at the Town Hall Meeting. The awards program honors excellence in government telework programs and associated agency accomplishments.
"Skyrocketing gas prices, pandemic fears, and escalating traffic gridlock are driving the Federal market beyond the telework tipping point," said Stephen W.T. O'Keeffe, Executive Director of Telework Exchange. "Across D.C. and America, Feds are saying 'I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore.' The majority of Feds should be teleworking at least one or two days per week. It's time for the government to shift its telework programs into the fast lane."
Town Hall Meeting sponsors include Akamai Technologies, Apple, Citrix Systems, Intel Corporation, TANDBERG, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Best Workplaces for Commuters(SM), and WebEx Communications.
