Business Wire, May 22, 2006
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Presented at AIIM 2006, I3 Awards recognize end-user organizations for outstanding document and content management deployments; Stellent customer honored for second consecutive year
Stellent, Inc. (Nasdaq:STEL), a global provider of content management solutions, announced today Integrated Solutions magazine and Questex Media's AIIMexpo 2006 awarded Stellent customer Land O'Lakes, Inc., a national, farmer-owned food and agricultural cooperative, an "I3 Award" for its enterprise-wide Stellent(R) Universal Content Management(TM) implementation. The I3 Awards recognize end-user organizations that have implemented outstanding document and content management technology solutions that are especially Innovative, Integrated and Inspirational (I3).
I3 Awards were presented at the annual AIIM Conference and Exposition, the world's largest and most important event for the enterprise content and information management industry, held May 15-18, 2006 in Philadelphia. Land O'Lakes was honored in the "Innovative Large Enterprise Installation" category for organizations with more than $1 billion in revenue. This is the second consecutive year a Stellent customer received an I3 Award.
"The pool of nominees for an I3 Award was again strong in 2006," said Ken Congdon, content management editor for Integrated Solutions. "Land O'Lakes' content management implementation is most worthy of recognition due to the breadth of innovative applications it encompasses. These applications are powered by and integrated with Stellent technology to successfully solve specific and critical business challenges, which should inspire other companies to deploy similar solutions to enhance their own business processes."
Specifically, Stellent Universal Content Management serves as a central, Web-based repository for Land O'Lakes content such as project documentation; intranet, extranet and public Web site content; and accounts payable (A/P), credit and human resources information. Example Stellent-powered applications at Land O'Lakes include a document management repository for the company's Dairy Foods division, a robust corporate intranet, an online image catalog for more than 10,000 recipes, a business-to-business extranet serving more than 7,000 customers and employees, and an automated A/P system integrated with the company's enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. > "We are very pleased the use of Stellent technology across our enterprise continues to be recognized as innovative by leading publications and organizations," said Paul Boespflug, corporate applications Web manager for Land O'Lakes. "Stellent solutions enable us to reap significant benefits throughout our organization, including increased employee productivity and access to knowledge, along with reduced costs and improved business processes. Additionally, the unified nature of the Stellent platform ensures we'll be able to easily scale the system in the future, making 'enterprise content management' a larger reality at Land O'Lakes.""We congratulate Land O'Lakes on this third-party endorsement of its Stellent-based content management initiatives," said Robert Olson, president and chief executive officer for Stellent. "Land O'Lakes was one of our first customers to adopt a unified approach to content management. This vision will continue to pay dividends for the company in the future as its varied document management, Web content management and imaging applications evolve, and as others related to records and retention management and collaboration are potentially introduced to meet additional business objectives."
Along with the I3 Award for Land O'Lakes' implementation, Stellent has been honored by a number of leading publications and organizations for its product innovation, market leadership and successful customer implementations. Recent honors include: a 2006 "Best of FOSE" award from Government Computer News for Site Studio(TM) -- Stellent's multi-site Web content management application; 2005 and 2004 "Best of Show - Enterprise Content Management" awards from AIIM E-DOC Magazine; a KMWorld "Trend-Setting Product of 2005" award for the Stellent Universal Content Management system; a 2005 Kinetic Information "Process Innovation Award" for the Stellent Universal Content Management deployment at Scott County, Minn.; a 2006 "Company to Watch" recognition from Intelligent Enterprise magazine as part of the annual Editors' Choice Awards; EContent's "EContent 100;" and KMWorld's "100 Companies that Matter in Knowledge Management."
