The CSU system is using Kintera's grasstops(TM) technology to develop an advocacy program using the Kintera P!N Electronic Screening system. With Kintera P!N Electronic Screening, CSU can identify individuals with the capacity, propensity and affinity to advocate one on one at the highest government levels on its behalf. The grasstops advocacy technology is designed to complement the institution's existing advocacy campaigns.
"Kintera Sphere technology is beneficial to an organization like the CSU system because it enables us to capture and act upon valuable constituent information. Kintera helps us to engage our constituents by involving them in ways and areas that are meaningful to them," says Karen Y. Zamarripa, assistant vice chancellor for California State University.
Using the Kintera Sphere platform, the CSU system is able to manage constituent data in a centralized system. In addition, Kintera Advocacy enables the institution to utilize Internet technology and traditional advocacy strategies to engage supporters, expand its constituent base and amplify advocacy efforts. The advocacy software helps CSU educate supporters about issues related to the university system. Kintera CRM can then build profiles of the interests and activities of CSU constituents, including political district, issue preferences, action alert responsiveness, giving histories and event participation.
The Kintera solution suite helps CSU identify constituent segments, engage supporters in advocacy issues that are of interest to them, and capture this information in a database management system that will make future advocacy efforts even more effective.
"Kintera Sphere's single platform architecture provides a very powerful solution for organizations like the CSU system," says David Lawson, general manager of prospect relationship management for Kintera. "Being able to use P!N Electronic Screening, in combination with Kintera Advocacy and CRM, allows CSU to identify those who will most effectively advocate for the university, to provide the tools for effective advocacy work, and to easily manage relationships with their constituents.
Kintera's higher education client base also includes institutions such as the University of Virginia, Washington State University, Northern
Arizona University and Tufts University.
