Network Intelligence Announces enVision is EMC® Centera™ Proven; Independent Certification Assures Integrated Information Management Platform for Storage, Compliance and Security
Business Wire, May 22, 2006
WESTWOOD, Mass. -- Network Intelligence(TM) Corp., the market-proven leader in transforming enterprise-wide data into automated compliance and security information, today announced that its enVision(TM) appliance-based security information and event management (SIEM) solution is now EMC Centera Proven via testing for functionality and compliance with EMC's leading content addressed storage (CAS) system. The testing was conducted through VeriTest, the independent testing service of Lionbridge. Together, enVision and EMC Centera provide organizations with an information management platform that delivers the first fully integrated compliance, security and storage solution to collect, protect, report and store all event data.
EMC Centera Proven status assures that customers using Network Intelligence enVision can more efficiently deploy an EMC Centera / Network Intelligence enVision configuration to provide an active enterprise archive delivering long-term, cost-effective storage for unchanging digital assets as a proven remedy for enterprises managing vast amounts of sensitive content for many years.
"Close integration with the EMC Centera platform maps directly to the convergence of compliance, security and storage infrastructures that we see in our customers' information management platforms," said Keith Bartlett, vice president of business development, Network Intelligence. "EMC Centera Proven ensures that enVision and EMC Centera are interoperable for those enterprises recognizing the value of collecting, protecting, reporting and storing all event data."
Mark Avery, EMC senior director, Centera Markets and Alliances, said, "Network Intelligence has demonstrated its product quality and commitment to a best of class integration with EMC Centera by becoming an EMC Centera Proven partner. The enVision solution is ideally suited to leverage EMC Centera to drive new value from enterprise content at a price point that sets a new service level for long-term storage."
EMC selected the VeriTest team at Lionbridge to perform testing and verification for EMC Centera Proven because of its strong reputation and ability to provide testing both in their state-of-the-art facility and via remote testing, covering a range of Centera-specific criteria and meeting the highest levels of quality.
Steve Nemzer, vice president, IT Global Development and Test Solutions at Lionbridge, said, "Our VeriTest team provided a real-world storage networking test experience that allowed Network Intelligence's enVision to be thoroughly tested on EMC Centera, which helps mitigate risk for customers. VeriTest's proven expertise in storage testing and our years of experience in developing, executing, and marketing certification programs are the keys to the success of this program. Increasingly, customers agree that advanced testing and verification ultimately saves them time and money by enabling them to deploy their IT solutions faster and more effectively."
The test plan, created by the VeriTest team from Lionbridge and EMC, is based on EMC best practices. Testing concentrates on the following areas: hardware and software setup, basic Centera capabilities, Centera replication, Centera disaster recovery and offsite backup, compliance and retention, single-instance storage, capacity reporting, and technical support.
