Swedish Space Corporation Selects BitBand for Providing IPTV Services to Operators in Scandinavia

NETANYA, Israel -- BitBand, a leading provider of video delivery solutions for Telcos' broadband IP networks, announced that it has been selected by Swedish Space Corporation (SSC) for providing IPTV services to operators from its ground station, Stockholm Teleport.
SSC is a comprehensive Swedish space industry that designs, tests, launches and operates space systems. SSC's ground station, Stockholm Teleport, provides satellite communication services, including uplink and downlink of TV and data, thus enabling Scandinavia based operators to provide high quality IP TV services to their customers.

SSC's ground station, Stockholm Teleport, receives a large number of TV channels and rebroadcasts them via broadband networks to various operators at the same time. BitBand's solutions employed with SSC are BitBand Maestro(TM) content distribution and server management suite and BitBand Vision(TM) servers.
