BURBANK, Calif. -- The comedy "License To Wed," starring Robin Williams ("RV"), Mandy Moore ("Saved!") and John Krasinski (NBC Universal's "The Office") has begun production for Warner Bros. Pictures, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures. The announcement was made by Jeff Robinov, President of Production, Warner Bros. Pictures.

The film follows newly engaged Ben Murphy (John Krasinski) and his fiancee Sadie Jones (Mandy Moore), who's always dreamed of getting married in a traditional wedding at her family church. The problem is, St. Augustine's only has one wedding slot available in the next two years, and its charismatic pastor Reverend Frank (Robin Williams) won't bless Ben and Sadie's union until they pass his patented, foolproof, marriage-prep course. Through outrageous classes, outlandish homework assignments and some pious manipulation, Ben and Sadie are about to find out if they really have what it takes to make it to the altar... and live happily ever after.

"License To Wed" also stars Eric Christian Olsen ("Cellular") as Sadie's best friend and confidant, Carlisle; Christine Taylor ("Dodgeball") as Sadie's sister, Lindsey; and Josh Flitter ("Big Momma's House 2") as Reverend Frank's precocious side-kick, the choir boy.

A Robert Simonds/Phoenix Pictures production of a Ken Kwapis film, "License To Wed" is directed by Ken Kwapis ("The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants") from a story by Kim Barker & Wayne Lloyd. The screenplay is written by Kim Barker and Tim Rasmussen & Vince DiMeglio. It is produced by Mike Medavoy, Arnold Messer, Nick Osborne and Robert Simonds ("The Pink Panther"). Executive producers are Bradley Fisher ("Zodiac"), David Thwaites ("Miss Potter"), Kim Zubick ("Yours, Mine and Ours") and Bruce Berman ("Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"). The co-producers are Christine Sacani ("The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants"), Trevor Engelson and Louis Phillips ("Holes"). The director of photography is John Bailey ("The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants"), and the production is designed by Gae Buckley ("The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants"). The film is edited by Kathryn Himoff ("The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants").

"License To Wed" will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company, and in select territories by Village Roadshow Pictures.
