CertifiedMail Delivers Secure Email Solution for Salesforce.com's AppExchange; Salesforce.com Customers Can Now Deploy CertifiedMail's Solution Directly within Their Salesforce Implementation
Business Wire, May 24, 2006
SAN FRANCISCO -- CertifiedMail and salesforce.com (NYSE:CRM), the market and technology leader in on-demand business services, today announced the availability of secure messaging through salesforce.com's AppExchange. Salesforce.com customers can now deploy CertifiedMail's secure messaging solution within their Salesforce implementation to protect confidential information and ensure compliance with privacy regulations. Built on the AppExchange on-demand platform, CertifiedMail for AppExchange is immediately available for test drive and deployment at http://www.salesforce.com/appexchange. The announcement was made today at Appforce, salesforce.com's first annual AppExchange partner, user and developer conference.
CertifiedMail for AppExchange brings the power and simplicity of automatic email encryption right to the user - wherever that user may be. CertifiedMail user accounts are created as needed once the simple central installation process is complete, so customers are only billed for accounts that are actually used to send secure emails.
CertifiedMail for AppExchange enables any user of salesforce.com Enterprise Edition to send secure, trackable emails from right inside the application using the custom link on the Lead and Contact Tabs. When the user clicks on the Secure Email link, a CertifiedMail account is created automatically. From that point, the user can send, track, and receive encrypted emails and attachments with no need for key exchanges or other complex procedures. It's as simple as using any Webmail interface, and no user training is required.
"CertifiedMail for AppExchange will help salesforce.com customers protect confidential information in transit, as well as ensure their email communications are in compliance with key corporate policies and government regulations," said CertifiedMail executive vice president Bob Janacek. "It's simple to install and maintain, and costs less than a quarter per mailbox per day - a small price for some big peace of mind."
"Compliance with government legislation and regulation will be an ongoing issue for businesses of all sizes," said George Hu, senior vice president and general manager, applications, salesforce.com. "Together with our AppExchange partners such as CertifiedMail, we will provide solutions that address this challenge, and continue to deliver on-demand success for our customers."
CertifiedMail for AppExchange is one of more than 250 applications created by salesforce.com, its customers and partners that are now available on the salesforce.com AppExchange, the world's first on-demand application platform. AppExchange provides unprecedented ease of customization and integration for Salesforce deployments, as well as enabling a whole new generation of on-demand applications that go beyond CRM. AppExchange enables all of these on-demand applications to be easily shared, exchanged and installed with one click into a customer's salesforce.com account. AppExchange can be found at http://www.salesforce.com/appexchange.
