Samaritan Healthcare Selects Imprivata OneSign ESSO; Imprivata's Enterprise Single Sign-on Solution Improves User Productivity and Strengthens Security Across the Enterprise
Business Wire, May 30, 2006
LEXINGTON, Mass. -- Imprivata(R), Inc., the enterprise authentication and access management appliance company, today announced that Samaritan Healthcare, a full-service health care organization located in Moses Lake, WA, has selected Imprivata OneSign(TM) Enterprise Single Sign-On (ESSO). OneSign ESSO will provide the healthcare institution with the ability to quickly, affordably and securely Single Sign-On (SSO)-enable business-critical applications, allowing the company to achieve increased password security, enhanced employee productivity and reduced IT help desk costs.
Samaritan Healthcare, using Meditech hosted by INHS, selected OneSign ESSO because it provided a cost effective, easy-to-implement solution to the organization's password management issues. "OneSign ESSO will help to strengthen Samaritan Healthcare's password policy while also enabling our staff to be more productive right off the bat," said Michael Cloutier, director of information systems at Samaritan Healthcare. "With Imprivata's newest version of OneSign ESSO, we're able to further customize the single sign-on implementation to Samaritan's specific needs by incorporating additional productivity features, including roaming user functionality, into our SSO deployment."
As a hardware appliance designed for organizations of all sizes, OneSign ESSO provides users with the ability to access all applications with one primary password or authentication method, simplifying password management for Samaritan employees by eliminating the need to remember multiple passwords. Furthermore, OneSign ESSO can be rolled out in a matter of days, because its Application Profile Generator(TM) learns the password behavior of all applications, thus requiring no scripting or application changes. Imprivata's ESSO solution also offers built-in support for strong authentication methods such as ID tokens, smart cards and finger biometrics.
