Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Receives $1.1 Million Order for Satellite Communications Equipment for the Latin America Region

MELVILLE, N.Y. -- Comtech Telecommunication Corp. (NASDAQ: CMTL) announced today that its Tempe, Arizona-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp., received a $1.1 million order for satellite communications equipment from a major telecommunications service provider in Latin America. The equipment will be utilized to support the service provider's network expansion and to enable the delivery of voice, data and cellular backhaul services.

Included in the order is a variety of Comtech EF Data's RF products, including Amplifiers, Transceivers and Converters. The extensive line of Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA's) are reliably constructed, power efficient and designed for use in satellite uplink systems. Flexibility and ease of installation are integral to the Comtech EF Data Transceivers, which are deployed in mobile and fixed environments. Redundant systems are an option, and a number of full monitor and control methods are available. The Up and Down Converters set the standard for consistent reliability and cost-effective, high-performance frequency conversion.
