Motive to Outline Home Networking Management Challenges and Opportunities at Broadband Services Forum Meeting

Business Wire, May 4, 2006

AUSTIN, Texas -- Motive (OTC:MOTV), a leading provider of broadband management software, today announced that Kenny Van Zant, executive vice president of marketing and products, will participate in a home networking panel discussion at the Broadband Services Forum Q2 Meeting, taking place at the Casino Nova Scotia Hotel in Halifax, Canada on Tuesday, May 9 at 10:55 a.m. ADT.

Mass market demand for home networking services is growing rapidly. According to recent data, market research firm Strategy Analytics predicts that by 2010 there will be nearly 700 million connected home devices worldwide which will allow consumers to share data and media across their home networks. This growing market represents a tremendous opportunity for service providers, but also a challenge, as the proliferation of devices leads to increased complexity in the home, and a lack of visibility and control over home networking services.

As a member of the BSF home networking panel, Van Zant will discuss how providers can use intelligent management solutions to eliminate or expedite various manual installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrade tasks that impact home networking services and end-user satisfaction.

Hosted by Motive customer Aliant, Inc., the BSF home networking panel will be moderated by Kenyon Shoebridge, Aliant's vice president of customer experience.
