Kiplinger Partners with Soundview to Publish Personal Finance Book Summaries for Their Over 1 Million Subscribers Worldwide
Business Wire, May 8, 2006
CONCORDVILLE, Pa. -- Kiplinger's Financial Book Summaries gives busy executives ready access to emerging economic trends, key ideas, and the most profitable points from the best personal finance books on the market
Today Soundview Executive Book Summaries, the global leader in business book summaries, announced it has joined forces with The Kiplinger Washington Editors, Inc., publisher of timely and trusted personal finance advice and business forecasts, to create Kiplinger's Financial Book Summaries, a new monthly subscription service for new and existing Soundview and Kiplinger customers that focuses on the best personal and business finance books on the market.
As part of this collaboration, Soundview and Kiplinger will select two finance books each month, and compile the most pertinent information from each book into eight-page print summaries for readers who want to stay on top of the latest ideas from leading authors.
Kiplinger's Financial Book Summaries will also be available in 20-minute audio CDs and MP3 files for people who like to learn on the go. The book topics will cover all aspects of personal and business finance, including investments, money management, budgeting, real estate, retirement planning, employee benefits, and debt reduction.
This partnership is the latest in a growing list of prestigious publishers and content providers who are realizing the benefits of Soundview's unparalleled model of seeking out and summarizing the best books on the market.
"This is the first time Soundview has developed a product around an entirely new category of books," says Rebecca Clement, Publisher of Soundview. "We're excited to work with the industry's leading financial publisher to continue our mission of helping busy executives who want to profit from leading financial minds, but don't have the time to read the books necessary to achieve these goals."
When they sign up for Kiplinger's Financial Book Summaries, subscribers will automatically receive free summaries of 'Investment Megatrends', by Bob Froehlich; 'The Little Book that Beats the Market', by Joel Greenblatt; and 'Live it Up Without Outliving Your Money!: Ten Steps to a Perfect Retirement Portfolio', by Paul Merriman.
Those will be followed by the first issue of Kiplinger's Financial Book Summaries, to be mailed in July, which will feature summaries of 'Getting Rich Your Own Way', by Brian Tracy, and 'Hot Trading Secrets: How to Get in and Out of the Market With Huge Gains in Any Climate', by J. Christoph Amberger.
"A hallmark of Kiplinger journalism has always been respect for our subscribers' time," said Knight A. Kiplinger, Editor in Chief of the weekly, four-page 'Kiplinger Letter', America's leading business-forecasting publication. "By teaming with Soundview's expertise in distilling topical personal business and personal finance titles to their essence, we've found another way to help our subscribers get more out of their busy days."
Kiplinger's Financial Book Summaries' yearly subscriptions are $139 for the print edition, $109 for the online edition, and $159 for printed issues and audio CDs. To subscribe, please call 1-866-KIP-SUMM or visit www.kipsumm.com.
