IDS Scheer Continues BPM Domination at SAPPHIRE '06 with Preview of Solutions Targeting Service-Oriented Architectures

BERWYN, Pa. -- Company Previews New Version of ARIS SOA Designer and Forges Ahead with Tighter Integration with SAP NetWeaver and Related Consulting Services

IDS Scheer, the leading provider of solutions for business process excellence, today announced that the company is poised for further inroads within service-oriented architectures at the upcoming SAPPHIRE '06 (Orlando, May 16-18, 2006), showcasing its initiatives, especially the ARIS SOA Designer, as well as further integration with the SAP NetWeaver(TM) platform to support SAP's Enterprise Services Architecture strategy.

IDS Scheer will preview its new ARIS SOA Designer that integrates enterprise service repositories from SAP and other ERP vendors as well as offering users the capability to create service repositories from the ground up. This add-on module to the ARIS Platform will be available 3Q 2006. In addition to those products, IDS Scheer offers a full range of services around SOA, especially SAP's ESA.

IDS Scheer offerings to be available at SAPPHIRE (booth 2327) include:

1.  ARIS for SAP NetWeaver - In addition to the IDS Scheer
        booth, the company will be exhibiting in the SAP NetWeaver
        Partner Pavilion (pod#3), demonstrating ARIS, the first and
        only BPM tool to be embedded in the SAP NetWeaver open
        platform. The demos will focus on reducing implementation
        time, custom development, maintenance and upgrade costs;
        increasing quality of configuration; and achieving more
        effective roll-outs of enterprise systems. Highlights of the
        demos include:

        --  A quick tour of the ARIS Business Process Lifecycle:
            Strategy, Design, Implement, Execute, & Monitor

        --  The relationship between ARIS/SAP Business Process
            Repository, Solution Manager, Exchange Infrastructure,
            ARIS Business Publisher

        --  Navigation from the SAP Industry Business Maps through 5
            levels of business process down to SAP Transaction code

        --  Modeling non-SAP integration processes in BPEL then export
            to SAP Exchange Infrastructure for process orchestration &
            execution

        --  Publishing the ARIS repository of To-Be process to your
            intranet to Bridge-the-Gap between IT and the business
            community

    2.  SAP Consulting - IDS Scheer will be discussing its domain
        expertise in SAP Consulting, especially related to Supply
        Chain Management and its implementations of SAP APO. By taking
        a business process-oriented approach, IDS Scheer extends its
        SAP implementations to include business process management,
        adding even more value in helping customers optimize their SAP
        systems -- IDS Scheer calls this unique approach "ARIS Value
        Engineering" (AVE). IDS Scheer has proven implementation

        Consumer Goods, Life Sciences, Chemicals, Construction/Home
        Building, and Fabricated Metals.

Eight IDS Scheer customers are scheduled to speak at SAPPHIRE, including presentations from The Defense Logistics Agency, Nova Chemicals, SAIC, John Laing Homes, American Meter and Capital Group; and a joint presentation with International Paper on "Event Management: Improving the Transparency of Your Supply Chain." Based on a real-world implementation at International Paper, this session will show how SAP Event Management helps improve the visibility of the whole order-to-cash process.
