SAN JOSE, Calif. -- ActiveState Software Inc., the leading provider of tools and services for dynamic languages, today announced the first beta of Komodo 4.0, introducing advanced support for Web 2.0 technologies to the award-winning IDE for dynamic languages. The release is available now.
Komodo 4.0 is the first IDE built specifically for end-to-end development of dynamic web applications. A rich feature set for client-side languages, coupled with powerful support for Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby and Tcl, enables developers to quickly and easily create robust web apps.
With this release, Komodo's advanced dynamic language support is extended to client-side AJAX languages, including JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and XML.
