Analogic Corporation Announces Management Changes

PEABODY, Mass. -- The Board of Directors of Analogic Corporation (NASDAQ:ALOG) announces that John W. Wood Jr. has informed the Board that he will retire as Analogic's CEO and as an Analogic Director on December 31, 2006. Mr. Wood has been CEO since August 2003, following the retirement from active management of Analogic Founder and Chairman Emeritus Bernard M. Gordon.
The Board also announces the appointment of Dr. Edmund F. Becker, Jr., as President and Chief Operating Officer effective immediately. Dr. Becker, who was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2005, has been with Analogic since 1977, and was for many years Vice President of its Medical Imaging Division.
The firm Korn/Ferry International, based in Los Angeles, California, has been retained to search for a successor to Mr. Wood.
On an interim basis, the Board has appointed Bernard Gordon as Executive Chairman and John A. Tarello, Analogic's former Chairman, as Vice Chairman.
The Board expressed its appreciation to Mr. Wood for his efforts during the past three-and-a-half years.
Analogic will conduct an investor conference call on Thursday, November 16, at 11:00 a.m. ET to discuss the management changes. The conference call will include Bernard Gordon, Executive Chairman; John Wood, CEO; Ed Becker, President and COO; John J. Millerick, Senior Vice President, CFO, and Treasurer; and Alex A. Van Adzin, Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporation Secretary.
