Alert Logic's On Demand Protection Fully Integrates into Rackspace Security Portfolio
HOUSTON -- Alert Logic, the only IT network security company leveraging a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform to deliver on-demand protection to mid-sized businesses, today announced that Rackspace Managed Hosting has fully integrated Alert Logic's Network Protection On Demand service into the hosting specialist's comprehensive security portfolio. In conjunction with Rackspace's fully-managed hosting solutions, Alert Logic will power Rackspace's intrusion defense, compliance management and 24x7 network threat monitoring offerings.
Many companies face growing IT security and compliance issues and are increasingly being held responsible for deploying and demonstrating sufficient levels of IT security. Both enterprises and SMBs often seek a single point of contact to help them mitigate a number of security risks through fully-managed security solutions provided by Rackspace. Through the Rackspace and Alert Logic partnership, customers will be offered high levels of IT security and sustainable compliance delivered through a fully integrated and hosted solution. Working in conjunction with Rackspace's existing managed security services, the Alert Logic solution will be offered to Rackspace's customer-base as a combined component of the company's security portfolio.
"Our clients are demanding more than check-box security capabilities. They require a real-time view into their security and risk posture, on-demand threat assessment and compliance reports, constant optimization to client specifications and 24x7 monitoring by certified security analysts. We examined available products and services and found Alert Logic provides an outstanding combination of these requirements," said Lew Moorman, senior vice president of corporate strategy and product development. "Additionally, no new service offering is added to our portfolio without going through a rigorous evaluation process and meeting our fanatical expectations for customer service. Alert Logic met both of those requirements, and is a real value-add for us."
"As part of Rackspace's fanatical service delivery, the company aggregates both proprietary and best-of-breed technologies to provide a comprehensive security portfolio to its customers," said Dan Sell, Vice President of Sales for Alert Logic. "Being a key component of Rackspace's suite of security solutions is an excellent validation point for our company and our unique solutions."
