AMERICAN SYSTEMS Appoints Larry Mendenhall to Vice President of Government Consulting Services

Seasoned Consultant to Help Government Agencies Boost Performance and Streamline Operations
CHANTILLY, Va. -- AMERICAN SYSTEMS, an employee-owned, government IT solutions provider, today announced the appointment of Larry Mendenhall as vice president and executive director of Government Consulting Services. In this role, Mendenhall will develop a portfolio of top-level professional services that federal agencies can call on to evaluate and improve their strategic and IT performance. Additionally, his unit provides leadership in strategic planning, information technology optimization and business process redesign.

Mendenhall brings over 20 years' consulting experience to developing and implementing management and business process solutions for the public and private sector. Prior to joining AMERICAN SYSTEMS, Mendenhall served as a partner at Coopers & Lybrand, where he co-authored the firm's SUMMIT methodology for development of IT strategy and infrastructure models. Mendenhall has also held executive-level positions at Litton/PRC, Oracle and Motorola. As vice president at Motorola, Mendenhall was part of the CGISS-Integrated Solutions Team that won the 2003 Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award.

Mendenhall earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Brigham Young University, performed graduate studies at Carnegie Mellon's GSIA Program, and is a certified Project Management Professional by PMI.
