Business Wire, Nov 14, 2006
This cooperation will provide customers with a reliable and secure infrastructure solution for manufacturers seeking improved business efficiency with minimum risk
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- Glovia Services Inc., a subsidiary of Glovia International Inc., announced today a cooperation with T-Systems in North America, a leading provider of information and communication technology (ICT). The business customer unit of Deutsche Telekom, T-Systems, will host on its Dynamic Services platform Glovia Services' comprehensive and robust GSInnovate solution that is designed to support the management of key business processes for small and midsize manufacturers.
Through the cooperation, T-Systems will provide a secure and highly robust hosting infrastructure on the basis of its Dynamic Services offering. GSInnovate is a market-first set of integrated applications, delivered through a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery model. The Dynamic Services Platform from T-Systems is a perfect match, as IT resources are delivered based on demand, so companies only pay for the amount of resources they order each month. With this new form of resource consumption, customers can save up to 30 percent on their IT expenditures.
Securing Systems with a Reliable Solution
"We're excited to begin this cooperation with T-Systems, as the company is a widely respected brand name in the global information and communication technology marketplace. Together, Glovia Services and T-Systems will provide manufacturers in the SMB market with a powerful, secure solution that is unmatched in terms of the sophistication of its technology platform and the business process benefits it delivers," said Randy Ehler, CEO of Glovia Services.
Glovia Services is working closely with T-Systems to deliver a SaaS-based solution that ensures a high level of security, an important consideration for customers working with Web-based solutions. In addition to offering a secure infrastructure, T-Systems and Glovia Services also offer a Service Level Agreement (SLA) of 99.5 percent total system availability to GSInnovate customers for the end-to-end operations of their infrastructure.
According to Tony D'Ambrosi, senior vice president of enterprise sales and services for T-Systems, "Through our Dynamic Services platform we provide an advanced and robust technology infrastructure platform for GSInnovate that offers top security, maintenance and support. Working together with Glovia Services, we also ensure the solution can be deployed quickly and at an attractive cost as customers pay only for the services they use, which lowers total cost of ownership (TCO)."
"The GSInnovate solution and Glovia Services' target customer base of SMB manufacturers is perfectly aligned to T-Systems North America's strategy as we continue our expansion into this market," added D'Ambrosi. "These customers may not have the technical or financial resources to develop such a solution and thus, can benefit from both our leading technology capabilities and utilize this unique and flexible solution."
According to Bill Lyons, vice president at Glovia Services, "Manufacturers in industries such as electronics, capital equipment, industrial products, discrete products and telecommunications will realize added value from the Glovia Services and T-Systems cooperation. The GSInnovate solution draws upon the rich technology heritage and deep industry expertise of both Glovia International Inc. and the Fujitsu Group. Additionally, the Dynamic Services platform from T-Systems has a long history of delivering value to customers worldwide and will offer SMB customers a computing platform that is typically only available to large enterprises."
