Computing Technology Industry Association Expands CompTIA Security+™ Advisory Committee

Two new appointees bring additional information security expertise to panel
OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. -- The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), the leading provider of vendor-neutral certifications for information technology (IT) workers around the world, today announced the appointment of two additional members to its CompTIA Security [TM] certification advisory committee for 2006-07.
Jon Lloyd, senior manager, sales training, Websense, Inc., and Randal McNeil, chief, Information Assurance Branch, School of Information Technology at Fort Gordon, Ga., representing the Department of Defense, have joined the CompTIA Security advisory committee
"The guidance and expertise provided by Jon, Randal and the other members of our advisory committee will assure that CompTIA Security is equipping IT practitioners with the skills necessary to navigate the information security landscape, where new threats to data and networks arise with increasing frequency, "said Neill Hopkins, vice president, skills development, CompTIA.
CompTIA Security certification is a foundation-level, vendor-neutral professional certification for network security practitioners with two years' experience who have daily hands-on responsibility for information security.
