Annual Information Security Conference Also Announces Its Move to London's ExCeL Centre in 2007

BRACKNELL, England -- RSA([R]) Conference, the world's leading information security conference and exposition group, today set out the major conclusions from this year's RSA Conference Europe, held in Nice on 23rd -25th October. Attended by more than 1,200 delegates, one third of whom are controlling annual security budgets in excess of a[logical not]5 million, the Conference provided a forum for leading European figures in the field to share their collective insight into the information security challenges that will shape the year ahead.

Senior IT project leaders and directors from sectors including financial services, government and the general IT industry attended keynote sessions by Microsoft Corporation, VeriSign Inc. and RSA, the Security Division of EMC, as well as streamed breakout sessions on key information security challenges for 2007 such as VoIP security and identity and access management. An Industry Experts track brought together key people on the front-line of information security, including Mike Eubanks, the Supervisory Special Agent of the FBI, National Cyber-Forensics and Training Alliance, and Eric Freyssinet, the Cybercrime Projects Coordinator of France's Gendarmerie Nationale.

Tim Pickard, RSA Conference Europe Director commented: "As the growing industry momentum behind RSA Conference Europe continues, it's clear that there is a thirst among IT manager and directors for a forum of peers where they can share best practices, understand future threats and network with colleagues from across different industries. By bringing together some of the best and brightest people in the industry, RSA Conference Europe is ensuring that in the ongoing battle between security professionals and the criminal / hacking community, European businesses are armed with the best defence of all - knowledge."

On the decision to conduct RSA Conference Europe 2007 in London, Pickard commented: "The success of the event as an industry forum lies in its unrivalled ability to bring the IT security industry together with those IT professionals engaged in the day-to-day job of protecting their organisations. With 33% of all Global Fortune 500 companies having their European HQs in London and 25% of all European security software companies being based in London, it's a logical step to base the Conference right on the frontline of the information security industry. We're excited by the move to London and are confident that this will mark the next chapter in the growth of RSA Conference Europe as the region's premier forum for the industry."

RSA Conference Europe 2007 will be held on 22nd - 24th October at the ExCel Centre, London. For more information on RSA Conference Europe 2006, please visit the Website at http://2006.rsaconference.com/europe/
