Advanced Technology Systems To Support USDA Technology Infrastructure

As a subcontractor to Fairfax, Va.-based Electronic Consulting Services, Inc. (ECS), Advanced Technology Systems will provide technology support services for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the CSREES infrastructure, as well as tier 2 help desk support. ECS will provide additional support services including computer network management, desktop and server monitoring and administration, network router and firewall management services, Wide Area Network interface management, system level and policy based security management, management of wireless devices, email administration and helpdesk services. The contract was awarded for one year with up to four option years. Advanced Technology Systems' portion of the contract award is valued at $700,000.

CSREES provides Federal assistance funding, including grants and cooperative agreements, to advance a global system of research, extension, and higher education in the food and agricultural sciences and related environmental and human sciences to benefit people, communities, and the Nation. CSREES relies on an efficient, responsive, and adaptable IT environment to facilitate the achievement of its mission.
Advanced Technology Systems has agreed to be acquired by Federal Services Acquisition Corporation, a blank check company that was formed to acquire an operating business in the federal services and defense industries ("Federal Services") (OTC Bulletin Board: FDSA, FDSAU, FDSAW). The transaction is expected to close in late 2006. Interested parties are urged to read Federal Services' preliminary proxy statement and, when available, its definitive proxy statement (the "Proxy Statements") for its special meeting of stockholders to be held in connection with approval of the transaction. The Proxy Statements can be obtained without charge at the Securities and Exchange Commission's internet site at (http://www.sec.gov).
