CareerJournal.com and Lucas Group to Host Executive Diversity Career Fair in Los Angeles
Business Wire, Nov 28, 2006
ATLANTA -- Lucas Group, an international executive-search firm, and CareerJournal.com, The Wall Street Journal's executive career site, today announced the addition of their first West Coast executive diversity fair, following the success of this year's Executive Diversity Career Fairs in Chicago and New York.
Presented by The Wall Street Journal's CareerJournal.com and Lucas Group, the next Executive Diversity Career Fair will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Hotel, Los Angeles - International Airport South. Free seminars throughout the day will cover such topics as interviewing, networking and negotiating more effectively. A free resume critique will be offered during the event as well. Pre-registration for the fair is not required; attendees can register onsite the day of the event and should bring copies of their resumes.
The Executive Diversity Career Fairs were created as a way to help women and other diversity candidates, who have been underrepresented as companies seek to recruit senior-management talent. They offer candidates the opportunity to interview with a range of top companies in a professional setting, as well as attend free career-management seminars. The most recent Executive Diversity Career Fair, held in New York City on October 12, attracted 750 candidates.
