SAS in Visionaries Quadrant of Data Integration Tools Magic Quadrant
Business Wire, Nov 29, 2006
CARY, N.C. -- SAS, the leader in business intelligence, has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Visionaries Quadrant of the inaugural "Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools, 2006" report.1
"SAS delivers mature and integrated data integration solutions, including critical data quality components provided by DataFlux," said Jim Davis, senior vice president and chief marketing officer. "SAS has thousands of data integration customers, and we are rapidly becoming a recognized leader in the space by marketing and delivering our universal data integration solutions to a broader spectrum of users."
As part of this effort, SAS began expanding its distribution channels for data integration solutions earlier this year with a new channel business unit for value-added resellers, systems integrators and independent software vendors.
SAS is continually improving its data integration solutions, as evidenced by a planned 15 percent increase in its research and development investment in data integration in 2006 and 2007. In its latest release, SAS([R]) Data Integration offers increased functionality for creating web services in a service oriented architecture (SOA), improved access to SAS' data quality technologies, and enhancements to real-time data integration, data lineage and impact analysis.
For years, SAS has supplied integrated data improvement technologies from its DataFlux subsidiary, which has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Leaders Quadrant of the "Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Tools, 2006" report2. DataFlux recently issued the latest release of its core technology platform.
