VAR Relationship Extends ServiceCenter for Closed-Loop Change Management

PALO ALTO, Calif. & CLEVELAND -- Active Reasoning, a leading provider of IT Governance Automation solutions, and SSG Consulting, a premier IT infrastructure consultancy, today announced that SSG is now a value-added reseller (VAR) of the Active Reasoning IT Controls Automation platform.

SSG designs and implements large enterprise help desk and asset management systems and is a leading implementer of HP OpenView ServiceCenter (formerly Peregrine ServiceCenter) for change management. Active Reasoning's integration with HP OpenView ServiceCenter automatically identifies unauthorized changes and out-of-compliance actions by comparing detected activities to approved change requests residing in ServiceCenter. Together, Active Reasoning and SSG will deliver closed-loop change management to help Fortune 500 organizations improve their change control processes, report adherence to corporate and IT policies and reduce audit-related costs.

The strategic partnership between Active Reasoning and SSG expands on the two companies' recent successful deployment at a leading healthcare provider where Active Reasoning provided 100% real-time visibility into user change. This gave the healthcare client greater confidence that its change management procedures and processes were being followed and reduced mean time to resolution of system failures by 80%.

Terry Schwab, Active Reasoning Vice President of Business Development, states, "Active Reasoning selected SSG as a VAR based on several successful engagements and honors received by SSG for exceptional service and performance in implementing ServiceCenter solutions. In working with SSG, we know that our valued clients will receive the best possible expertise."

David Rosenblatt, Chief Executive Officer of SSG Consulting, explains the tremendous synergy between ServiceCenter and the Active Reasoning solution, "ServiceCenter incorporates customizable processes for managing requests, incidents, problems, and changes. The Active Reasoning platform integrates with ServiceCenter to validate individual activities against established processes so that our clients can truly measure policy adherence and strengthen their ongoing service management."
