SCI Solutions Partners With Erlanger Health System Center to Provide Comprehensive Access Management Solutions

Access Management Vendor Wins Contract to Streamline Orders, Scheduling and Revenue Processes
LOS GATOS, Calif. & CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- SCI Solutions, the premiere Access Management solution provider for healthcare, today announced it has signed a contract with Erlanger Health System for its total Access Management product suite comprised of Schedule Maximizer, Revenue Accelerator and Order Facilitator. Schedule Maximizer is SCI's intelligent scheduling application that streamlines access, maximizes scarce resources, performs advanced pre-registration and enables web self-scheduling. Revenue Accelerator is SCI's pre-encounter workstation that incorporates revenue cycle tools to streamline pre-registration, prepare patients for arrival and expedite service delivery. Order Facilitator is SCI's award-winning, Internet-based, web solution for automating orders for hospital services from community physicians.
Erlanger Health System, located in Chattanooga, Tennessee is a non-profit, academic teaching center affiliated with the University Of Tennessee College Of Medicine. Comprised of five Tennessee-based medical campuses, Erlanger is licensed for 818 acute-care beds and 50 long-term care beds serving patients from 50 counties within a 150-mile radius. Under the terms of the agreement, Erlanger will deploy SCI's products to include Schedule Maximizer: (Patient and Resource Scheduling, Appointment Reminders, Consumer Portal and Provider Portal); Revenue Accelerator: (Enterprise Appointment Repository, Schedule Viewer, Financial/Workflow Rules Engine, Intelligent Worklist, Pre-registration with Patient and Account-level Integration, "Smart" Eligibility, Medical Necessity, Eligibility Verification, Referrals and Authorizations, Integrated Consumer Web-Pre-Registration); Order Facilitator: (Outpatient Order Entry, Integrated Medical Necessity Checking and Electronic Physician Signature, Physician-to-Physician Referral System).
According to Tammy Wood, Associate Director of Patient Access at Erlanger, "We are a medical center that handles more than 300,000 patient visits a year and we wanted to improve our registration, scheduling and physician ordering/referral processes to make them more physician and patient-friendly as well as more efficient."
