Metrologic and Fujitsu Form Strategic Alliance for Bar Code Scanning Products

Fujitsu to Resell and Offer Maintenance Services on Metrologic Scanners
FRISCO, Texas -- Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc. and Metrologic Instruments, Inc. (Nasdaq:MTLG), global experts in developing affordable, innovative data capture and collection solutions, announced today they have entered into an international strategic alliance for bar code scanning products.
Under the terms of the agreement, Fujitsu Transaction Solutions will incorporate Metrologic's bar code scanning products with their TeamPoS point-of-sale (POS) solutions throughout North America and U-Scan self-checkout solutions worldwide. Fujitsu will also provide service plans for Metrologic's family of POS scanning devices, including the StratosH bi-optic scanner.
