Peart-Hannon Grows Their Public Sector Sales With Three New Government Contracts

Business Wire, Oct 10, 2006

Maryland MVA and Federal Review Board Award Company Business Worth Over $8MM

BALTIMORE -- Peart-Hannon, the Baltimore-based business intelligence and technologies firm, announced today that its public sector group was awarded three government contracts, with an estimated $8 million value.

The company said the new business with the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) and the Federal Government's Nuclear Waste technical Review Board (NWTRB) represents successful growth in their government-focused business unit - and a 30% staff increase.

"A large portion of our business has previously been in the private sector. Recently, we expanded our focus to deliver our business intelligence capability to the public arena. These important contracts come as a result of our success in assisting corporations to unlock the hidden value of their business information," said company CEO, Michael Peart.

The IT contract award by NWTRB enables Peart-Hannon to drive a critical data analysis project in the areas of homeland security and pandemics. "We are proud that a small Federal government agency is one of the first to respond to a FEMA-issued memorandum that instructed agencies to conduct IT infrastructure audits to ensure operability during a lengthy pandemic event," explained Peart.

The multiple Maryland MVA contracts will expedite online motor vehicle services for Maryland drivers and residents. When the project is completed, MVA customers will be able to schedule appointments and tests through the agency's Web site and prepay various fees online.
